Hello, Dear Visitor.
I am happy to have you reading my blog and will be even happier if you find the articles here useful. The subject matter that I would like to cover here is web development and specifically some tricks around Magento.
Magento and my impressions…
I know that Magento is an open source E-Commerce platform and I can only add that the list of the companies utilizing Magento speaks enough …. For more check http://www.magentocommerce.com/showcase.
I checked my data archives and found the date of my first Magento project – 13 February 2009. At that time, I had a good background experience with CSS, HTML, Java Script and Cake PHP, but know nothing about Magento. With some advice from colleagues and some reverse engineering, I managed to complete the project.
At that moment, I realized that I really liked it! It was a true challenge! The challenge that I needed.
When I look back now, I see many finished projects, many sleepless nights (pondering over a critical issue or having to meet deadlines), many clients, both good and bad, satisfied and disgruntled, but the most important thing for me is the experience I have gained after all these “battles”.
Hmm… The sentences above might sound like Magento is the best and number one E-Commerce platform, but that is not what I actually wanted to say. Magento is among the top software, but if you are a store owner, you should do your own research or consult somebody if Magento is the right platform for your business.
Why am I doing this blog?
After 4 years of freelance work, I realized that I have had many successful projects… but you can’t see my signature on them. My portfolio is in fact empty! I don’t blame the people I worked for, because they actually gave me the opportunity to earn my knowledge. So, this is my place and now I have the chance to let the world know that I exist.
Another reason for running this blog is that I’d like to share my knowledge about Magento with the community, just like the community had shared it with me earlier.
